A journey by train composition

Introduction: The journey is an exciting experience for everyone. But for the student, it is more exciting and attractive because it provides an opportunity to escape from the daily routine of life. I was therefore looking forward to the beginning of the summer holidays, when I would have the opportunity to go on a long journey.

Occasion: My school’s summer vacation was approaching. I decided to spend this vacation with my aunt on Chattogram. One of my cousins also agreed to accompany me. We decided to go to Chattogram by train. I find traveling by train very comfortable and pleasant. The preparation day for my trip was approaching and our excitement was rising. Finally, the day of our trip arrived, we arranged everything for the trip. My father arranged two first class tickets for us.

We reached Kamlapur railway station in the morning. We were waiting for the train. My father, mother and aunt were with us to see us off. Scenes at the station: We had to wait half an hour at the station for the train to arrive. Passengers from various places arrived at the railway station in rickshaws, autos, private cars etc. Well-wishers ran behind them. There was a long queue in front of the booking window.

The journey began: We occupied a comfortable room in the first class cabin. When the time came, the train started, we all jumped with excitement. We left relieved. The train went on. A gentle breeze from the open space cooled the compartment much to the relief of all occupants.

Journey: The train started at a good speed and we were soon away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We left the window open and a gentle breeze from the open space cooled the room. The train passed through green fields. Here and there were plants of paddy, jute and sugarcane. They tossed their heads in the wind. I started reading Rabindranath’s novel and enjoyed the scene.

Scenes at Enroute Stations: Our train stopped only at important stations as it was a mail train. Exciting to see the excitement and rush of passengers getting on or off the train, the shouts of shopkeepers and the movement of staffs. The majesty of the setting sun and the pathos of the departing day can best be the sun from the train.

The slow coming of darkness. A slow and majestic sunset. Flying flocks of birds looking for night shelters are fascinating. All the way I was either looking outside or reading novels.

Objective: Nothing was visible except a few darker spots at intervals. They were homesteads or scrub and groves. The train slowed and finally stopped at the platform. We reached Chattogram railway station at about 4:00 PM. Some of our cousins were present at the station to receive us. This was the first time we came to Chattogram.

Conclusion: I really liked the trip. The trip was very safe and sound. My cousin lost his charm as he slept most of the way. I did not miss the opportunity to enjoy the proverbial greenery of our country, which enchanted me greatly.
